چکیده
Abstract Background Laminitis is a common and serve disease which caused by inflammation pathological changes of the laminar junction. However, pathologic mechanism remains unclear. In this study we aimed to investigate gut microbiota metabolomics in oligofructose-induced laminitis horses. Results Animals submitted treatment with oligofructose had lower fecal pH but higher lactic acid, histamine, Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) serum. Meanwhile, altered composition hindgut bacterial community, demonstrated increasing relative abundance Lactobacillus Megasphaera . addition, metabolome analysis revealed that decreased 84 metabolites while 53 increased, such as dihydrothymine, N3,N4-Dimethyl-L-arginine, 10E,12Z-Octadecadienoic asparagine. Pathway aldosterone synthesis secretion, regulation lipolysis adipocytes, steroid hormone biosynthesis, pyrimidine metabolism, biosynthesis unsaturated fatty acids, galactose metabolism were significantly different between healthy Furthermore, correlation indicated and/or positively associated Conclusions These results disturbance occurred during development equine laminitis, these may provide novel insights detect biomarkers for better understanding potential prevention strategies

Equine laminitis model: cryotherapy reduces the severity of lesions evaluated seven days after induction with oligofructose.
REASONS FOR PERFORMING STUDY A previous preliminary study demonstrated the potential of distal limb cryotherapy (DLC) for preventing laminitis. Clinically, DLC must be effective for periods longer than 48 h and the preventive effect must extend beyond its discontinuation. OBJECTIVES To evaluate the effect of DLC, applied during the developmental phase of induced laminitis, on the severity of ...
متن کاملthe effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation
in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.
Neuropathic changes in equine laminitis pain.
Laminitis is a common debilitating disease in horses that involves painful disruption of the lamellar dermo-epidermal junction within the hoof. This condition is often refractory to conventional anti-inflammatory analgesia and results in unremitting pain, which in severe cases requires euthanasia. The mechanisms underlying pain in laminitis were investigated using quantification of behavioural ...
متن کاملDistribution of technetium-99m PEG-liposomes during oligofructose-induced laminitis development in horses.
Liposomes are phospholipid nanoparticles used for targeted drug delivery. This study aimed to determine whether intravenous liposomes accumulate in lamellar tissue during laminitis development in horses so as to assess their potential for targeted lamellar drug delivery. Polyethylene-glycol (PEG) coated liposomes were prepared according to the film hydration method and labelled using (99m)Tc-he...
